Our Staff

Avenue House is staffed by a qualified and experienced care team led by our manager and a team of nurses and care staff who are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We continually invest in training our people and actively encourage and support NVQ qualifications in care in order to develop them. We don’t just aim to achieve the training requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), but to exceed them. Indeed, we consistently have 75% of staff with NVQ qualifications, well in excess of CQC’s target of 50%.

In addition our Care & Training Manager provides all staff with extensive in-house induction training, regular mandatory training and additional specialist training in many areas. We believe training is fundamental to improving the care provided to all residents.

We are very proud of the long length of service of many of our staff, which in turn helps us to provide a stable and caring environment for our residents. Our staff also provide an extensive and innovative activities programme to encourage residents to enjoy their stay to the full.
